What you can do

  • Speech to text

    Upload a recording or speak directly, and get Faroese text.

  • Text to speech

    Type or paste text and hear it read aloud in a Faroese voice. This was previously called VoisIT Teldutala.

  • Try it first

    You can try the Portal for free. Continued use is a paid service — see current plans and prices in the Portal.

How it works

  1. Go to app.voisit.fo and create an account.
  2. Choose speech to text or text to speech.
  3. Take the text or the audio file with you.

Good to know

  • The free trial includes 5 minutes of speech to text and 5,000 characters of text to speech. No payment card is needed.
